Ruth Cohen

Instructor Bio

Ruth Cohen found Yoga after a knee injury sidelined decades of running, and her weight lifting regime grew tedious. She craved the physical exertion of Bikram and power vinyasa classes. Yoga had it all: cardio, strength training and flexibility. Then much to her delight, Ruth discovered that yoga offered even more: her asanas deepened and her heart opened. Yoga morphed from a physical practice into a life practice.

In 2013, eleven years after that first yoga class, Ruth received Yoga Alliance certification. Students who attend her class can expect a rigorous flow followed by a sweet yin release.

Ruth also writes for the Limestone Post where she shares recipes from her kitchen along with cookbook reviews.
