Get Gonged! Experience the vibration of sound healing through the gong and crystal bowls.
Join us for an afternoon of sound, relaxation, and healing.....
The Gong is one of the most powerful transformational and therapeutic instruments known to humankind. It is a psycho-acoustic gateway to higher states of consciousness and is ideal for stress reduction & rejuvenation. The sound of the crystal singing bowls has been found to produce binaural beats which encourage the production of brain waves that promote trance-like states of relaxation; they also stimulate the immune system and provide an overall feeling of well-being.
Meditation is the art and science of living in the present moment. And what better tools to enter this timeless stream with, than the Breath and the Body..Two facets of our existence that are ever-present and intimately connected to our sense of Being. In this workshop we will explore the practices of Tai Chi and Qigong, two of the preeminent practices of moving meditation in action. We will learn and practice several movements of the former including the Eight Brocades, as well as a number of Qi- gong practices that stimulate and balance the energy systems of the mind/body/spirit.
This workshop releases the ties that bind, so to speak. We will dissolve through our oft-calcified self-images to unveil the inner being in all its playful and prayer-ful glory, in safe company of others that are revealed to be just that – other versions of oneself. This is achieved via synergistic exploration of healing and expressive modalities such as Yoga, pantomime, reflective energy work, moving meditation, sound healing, and sound circles.
Breathe. Flow. Visualize. Animate. Rejoice
In a word, Shadow-Work. In order to effectively reach for the Light we have to address the darker, less evolved areas of our psyches. In this workshop we will look at ways to delve into said areas with the goal of providing a road map with which to navigate this delicate and sometimes precarious task, allowing us to recognize and begin to free ourselves from outmoded responses to the trauma we have experienced in our lives.
